To the AAA Blues Membership and Family,
I wanted to take some time to express my sincere gratitude to everyone involved with the AAA Blues organization as I step down after 12 years as club President. Over the years, I have had the pleasure to work side by side with so many wonderful people, all with the common goal of helping to make the AAA Blues one of the premier tier one organizations in the US. From the players and parents to all our coaches both past and present, thank you for helping to steer the ship in the right direction.
I will miss the board meetings, even some of the marathon sessions, knowing that each board member was totally committed to laying the groundwork for success and sustainability. Thank you to each one of you as I step away with so many great friendships.
Please continue to keep our mission statement front and center for all current and future AAA Blues players:
"To promote amateur hockey through class, good sportsmanship, fair play, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect by our players. To provide an opportunity for those qualified youth hockey players to further their careers in college, juniors, Olympics, national teams and professional hockey. And to assist and encourage today’s youth hockey players to become better citizens of tomorrow."
I would also like to thank the St. Louis Blues and the St. Louis Blues Alumni for their continued support of our club and our program.
Lastly, the AAA Blues and I owe a huge debt of gratitude to Dr. Matt Gornet and Lloyd Ney, owners of the Ice Zone in Hazelwood for allowing the organization to call the Ice Zone home for over 2 years. Because of their support and generosity, we made the Ice Zone our home rink as the Centene Community Ice Center was under construction.
Thanks for making this journey so much fun. My best regards to all of you!
See you at the rink!
